About Us

Shell Beach Elementary School is located in the beautiful coastal community of Pismo Beach, California. Though we have around 340 students, we maintain a "small school" feel. This is due in large part to our dedicated team of teachers, parents, and community volunteers. Teachers take a vested interest in our students and develop lasting relationships with students and families. Parents play a critical role in the success of our students. At Shell Beach Elementary we are dedicated to accelerating ALL of our students' academic and social-emotional growth.

Our Kids First

Governed by a seven member Board of Education, Lucia Mar proudly educates more than 10,000 students who attend Lucia Mar’s eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one independent student study school, and one adult education program. Ongoing partnerships with community colleges, state universities, and local businesses also provide an important role in educational improvement.
